 If you have straight hair or hair that tends to be flat , looking to get volume could be like trying to master a Houdini trick .

1.  Braids , it pays off to braid your hair when you have a perfect beach wave you put minimal effort into.

2. Volumizer - my go to Aveda style prep , mist it all over your hair before you braid it on your damp hair and you will see the difference .

3. Leave in - if you have thicker hair a leave in conditioner will hydrate and keep and frizz a bay .

Once it's dry , use these simple steps

4. Put some kind of light oil on to add shine and rehydrate . Keep in mind that for a perfect beach wave your hair needs to be frizz free and shiny .  No skimping out on the hydration .

5. If it's not big enough for you . . . You can always take your volumizer and re spray it at the roots of your hair and rub the volumizer in closer you your scalp.
