why a lob ? Its a non committal bob . You can still tie it up and give it a good beach wave without looking like Shirley Temple.
Just like any other style make sure it's custom to you . What I mean by that is knowing your face shape and what works best on you. I.e if you have a long face have shorter layers in the crown to balance out the length . Or , for a rounder face make sure to have angles or a side swept bang that starts at the cheek bone and then comes in towards your face.
