Leave in conditioner / styling creme  - this you need because regardless of your hair type you need to keep it together.

Wand / curling iron / flat iron - I personally  prefer to curl with the flat iron because it gives me ultimate manipulation of the curl .

Boar bristle brush - because natural bristle will distribute shine and natural oils evenly for a frizz free look.
