WAVES FOR DAYS
Waves for days
The difference between a wave and a curl is all in the way you style it . Alot of times in trying to create a wave you get a curl ... Here are some tricks for a few different types of waves you can do that will be long lasting.
For a soft wave , use hot rollers ..
1. Part your hair exactly the same as you would during a blow out .
2. Wrap the hair from the ends up to the root .
3. Let sit anywhere from 15 - 30 minutes or even longer if you want , this part is more plug and play seeing with works best for you.
4. Take each roller out one at a time , mist with hair spray then brush
*pro tip use a boars hair brush or an extension brush
Blow out waves
1. Rough dry your hair until about 70% dry
2. Mist a heat protectant or leave - on all over
3. Use a small / medium sized brush and 1-2 inch sections , then dry the section with the hair wrapped around the brush .
4. After section is dry pin the hair in the form of a roller
*pro tip use ceramic brushes they tend to speed up drying time and leave the hair shinier and smoother
Vintage / tighter waves
1. Brush your hair and mist a shine spray . Make sure there aren't any knots or that your hair isn't frizzy
2. Take 2 inch sections horizontally across your head . Then , take subsections of one inch wide .
3. Use your wand /curling iron and curl all the same direction. Spray each curl individually and don't touch it at all .
4. After all the curls have been sprayed and cooled down from being hot from the iron , then brush .
Pro tip : brushing isn't a one shot deal , you will most likely need to brush over your hair a few times not just one . Remember if you get fly aways re spray with hair with the shine spray .
Happy styling !
