TAPE IN EXTENSIONS , FRIEND OR FOE

Five tape in extension myths

 1. They will slide out - they only slide out if you don't follow directions . I.e. get conditioner on the tabs , use products with sulfates on them , or shampoo your hair before 24 hours of having them applied

2. You can't tie your hair in a top knot - the tabs are thin and smooth enough that they can be tied up flawlessly . Anything that shows is due to error in the application

3. The tabs are huge and can be seen - so false , the tabs match your hair color and lay flush against your head also their bend-ability allows for any kind of styling .

 4. They rip your hair out - extensions will only rip your hair out if your rough with it . Even then they will slide out before they will rip your hair out .

5. It's expensive - in relation to most it's the most cost effective seamless extensions . The hair can be reused up to three times and the cost of hair ranges from $110-$170 per pack and application is typically anywhere from $150-$300 .

  1. I'm interested in these, but I've heard in some cases the weight of the hair puts too much stress on the follicle leading to bald spots. Is there any truth to this being a risk at all?

    1. Hi Jaclyn , there is absolute truth to this . Just like with any extensions your hair has to be looked at by a professsional to make sure that your hair can handle it . However , with the tape in I find the hair to extension ratio leaves almost no room for damage . Damage is virtually non existent unless your heavy handed with your brush or just rough in general.
